Picture That is currently purchasing art for Rockland County, New York. The approximately
200,000 square-foot facility that we are outfitting is a former sanitarium/hospital that is
being renovated as office space.The space will house a variety of Rockland County
government offices.
ART REQUIREMENTS
The artwork and photography purchased for Rockland County must depict local
Rockland County, New York, scenes.
DESIRED MEDIA
We are interested in THREE CATEGORIES of unframed and unmatted art:
Category I - Limited Edition Prints (Lithographs, Serigraphs, Etchings, Engravings, Woodcuts, etc.)
Category II - Giclee Prints, Open Edition Prints and Posters
Category III - Photography
DESIRED THEMES
Content and color palettes should promote a positive theme and be appropriate to display to the general public of all age ranges. A mixture of landscapes, waterscapes, botanicals and interesting themes around Rockland County, New York, are preferred. We are equally interested in figurative work of ethnically diverse teenagers/young adults.
Artists residing in Rockland County, New York, and/or NYC Tri-State Area are preferred. Artists residing outside of these geographic areas will also be considered; especially those with compelling local themes. While artists from other locations may apply, we may be unable to cover the cost of shipping and insurance to transport works located outside of the New England and Tri-State areas.
REQUIRED MATERIALS
1. Ten (10) digital images as jpg files of artwork to be considered; 150 dpi or greater (3.5" in size). Name the jpg files the same as artwork title.
2. Artist Bio and/or Artist Statement (Word documents or text files are acceptable). Please include the artist's location (City, State) in the document.
3. A listing of the 10 works including: title, year created, medium, size (height x width x depth), price and specify the geographic location of Rockland County, New York. Include special hanging instructions if required.
